Metro Wildlife Corridors
The Metro Wildlife Corridors Program from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources provides funding for land protection and restoration. The MN DNR works with several other local conservation organizations to assist private landowners interested in land protection using conservation easements or acquisition. Funding comes from the legislature and the Legislative Commission on Minnesota Resources (the lottery money). Applications for restoration and protection are accepted once a year when funding is available. If you are interested in land protection or restoration Metro Wildlife Corridors might be able to help. More information can be found on the DNR's website, ACD staff can assist landowners by applying for funding and writing grants.
