State Cost Share
Limited cost share funds are available to pay for up to 50% of the costs for projects to control erosion. Statewide, cost share funds are used for practices such as windbreaks, shelterbelts, grassed waterways, streambank stabilization, lakeshore stabilization, and gully stabilization. Funds available through this program are nominal and have never exceeded $17,500 annually. Projects must be designed by a licensed engineer. Streambank and lakeshore stabilization has been the sole use of state cost share funds in Anoka County over the last ten years.
