Project Information
This project consists of an Iron Enhanced Sand Filter (IESF) installation in conjunction with an existing stormwater treatment pond in the City of Blaine upstream from Golden Lake. The purpose of this project is to improve water quality in Golden Lake to help achieve the goals of the Golden Lake TMDL by reducing dissolved phosphorus discharge from the contributing watershed into the lake. Project construction beginning in August 2015. This project is a partnership between the Rice Creek Watershed District (RCWD), the City of Blaine, and Anoka Conservation District (ACD) with funding provided by the Clean Water Fund from the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment.
