Mission & Goals

The mission on the Anoka Conservation District is to;

  • Inform and assist county residents and landowners in natural resource management,
  • Conduct research and monitoring for soil and water conservation,
  • Promote practices for soil and water conservation,
  • And serve as a guide to local units of government in land use planning.

Goals

It is not possible for the District to address all issues of degraded natural resource quantity and quality. The following list shows where the district will focus it’s limited financial and staff resources. This list was developed by the Board of Supervisors during a comprehensive planning process undertaken in 2006. In order of priority they are:
