NORWAY PINE

Norway pine (Red Pine) is a moderately fast growing coniferous tree. It does well in sandy soil and is the Minnesota state tree. Norway pine's bark is rather thin and twigs are stout with light reddish-brown color. It can reach a height of 60-80' tall. Norway pine is intolerant of shade, but tolerant of drought.
Wildlife Food & Cover:Fair food-songbirds, squirrels. Good cover-winter cover, summer nesting.
