White Spruce
(Picea glauca)
White spruce is a moderately fast growing conifer tree with bluish-green color needles and a symmetrical shape. It can reach heights of 40-60' tall, is moderately shade tolerant and is drought tolerant. It grows in a variety of soils but prefers moist well-drained loams.
Wildlife Food & Cover:Good food - deer browse. Good cover- winter cover, summer nesting.
