Lakeshore Buffers and Stabilization
Lakeshore erosion can cause your property to sluff into the lake. Not only does this put your property at risk, but it also contributes to poor water quality. ACD can provide technical and financial assistance to help design and fund a stabilization or native plant buffer project on your property. Projects can range from native vegetation buffer plantings to large-scale engineered stabilization projects depending on location needs and property owner priorities.
Cost share availability may differ depending on location and project type. Cost share requests will be ranked regularly and project locations will be chosen based on need and available funding. We continually seek additional funding sources, so if there is not funding at the time of your application, you will be added to a waiting list and contacted when funding becomes available.
