Viburnum dentatum


Arrowwood is a multi-stemmed rounded shrub with creamy white late spring or early summer flower and leaves are lustrous, dark green in summer changing to yellow to glossy red and reddish.  Arrowwood can reach heights of  7' - 10' ft  and  is tolerant of some shade and can tolarate  a wide range in soil moisture.

Wildlife Food & Cover:Excellent Food-berries, larval. Good cover-nesting.

Flowers: White flower clusters-late-spring

Fruit: Purple drupe - fall

Ecosystem: Flood Plain Forest, Mesic Oak Forest, Hardwood Swamp
