Red Maple is a moderately fast growing tree with three-lobed green leaves that turn a spectacular red color in the fall. It can reach a height of 40-60', is moderately tolerant of shade but intolerant of drought or salt spray. Red maple will grow in a variety of soils but prefers moist sandy loams.
